Edith Rose Burch, 72, of Owego, NY passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Edith was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Ann Hendry; brothers, John and Frank Hendry; and sister, Ellen. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Burch; and her two sweetie-boy cats, Thumper and Hobbs. Edith was a graduate of Binghamton High School. She worked for 20 years for Broome County as a Medicaid Examiner and retired as a Principle Examiner. Edith loved to spend her spare time cooking, baking, and sewing. She also participated in the local Corvette Club for many years. Family and friends will celebrate her life on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 10:00am at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Her family will receive friends on Monday, December 14th from 5 pm to 7 pm. Please note: All state required social distancing guidelines are to be followed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edith's name to Maddies Meadows Rescue, Box 445, Owego, New York 13827 or to the Cornell Feline Health Center at www.vet.cornell.edu/giving or 1-800-279-3099.
