Katherine "Kathy" A. Angus, 78, of Owego, NY, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. Kathy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. We will miss her deeply. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Veronica Wood; her sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Robert Fleeman; her husband, Gary L Angus. Kathy graduated from Whitehall High School. She and Gary lived in several places before settling down in Owego, NY. She had numerous jobs including lunch lady, grocery store clerk, in home daycare and customer service rep at Bed, Bath and Beyond. She also volunteered for many activities in town. Kathy loved spending time with family and friends. She liked to sew, read, play cards, go to Tioga Downs, meet with her TOPS Group, and have a cup of coffee or glass of wine with the girls at Owego Gardens. Kathy is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Robin and David Gorman, of Endicott, NY, Helen Valenti and her partner BJ Bushnell, of Cortland, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Belinda Angus, of Owego, NY; four grandchildren, Amber Valenti, Josh Valenti, Brenden Gorman, Abigael Gorman, two great-grandchildren, Luca and Torryn. The family will receive friends Friday, December 22, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:45 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Kirkman, officiating at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Burial will be in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY.
