Art was a great friend and co-worker at IBM. He always had a great "one liner" to make you laugh and smile. He could perform all the Rodney Dangerfield jokes, one after another without missing a beat. He also was famous for the nose, mustache and glasses. Art will be missed by everyone that had the opportunity to know him.

My dear brother in law. You made my sister so happy all these years. You were a great dad and friend to Andrew. Their lives will never be the same but they will have many wonderful memories. I will miss your jokes most of all “waca waca waca”. All the Christmases we shared with all the boys and you playing Santa. I was very sad to hear of Art’s passing. I would occasionally keep in touch with him by exchanging quips via Facebook after I moved away from the area. He had a great sense of humor and the best Rodney Dangerfield impression. Above all else he was a steadfast family man. My heart felt condolences go out to his wife and son and all who cared about him. Rest in Piece buddy.

Art was wonderful to play with. So quick to give credit for good shots to others. And got lots of “great shot,” “great serve” from us. He was intense and very good in his play, but he shared, like all of us, a love to play, and with good humor. He laughed a lot with all of us. I came to love his quick advice to me to “Don’t swing,” when he knew the ball was going long. It became a kind of ritual, and we laughed every time. I will miss him very much. Tennis will not be the same without him. Very saddened, and still in some disbelief.
