Arthur S. "Art" Fredricksen, 70, of Owego, New York, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Art was born in Howard Beach, NY to the late Arthur and Ellen (Shearer) Fredricksen. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Susan Martinez. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diane Fredricksen; son, Andrew Fredricksen; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Tom Rosensteel; two sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara Rottkamp, Joan and Jim Aranella; three nieces, eight nephews. Art worked for J.C Penny, New York City, Allstate Insurance Company, Melville, NY, IBM, Owego, NY and later retired from Lockheed Martin, Owego, NY. He was a volunteer with Camp Ahwaga, Guthrie Hospital and was an usher for Binghamton University. Art was an avid N.Y. Yankees Fan, enjoyed playing golf, tennis and traveling with his family. The family will receive friends Monday, June 17, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. with the Rev. Jay Geistdorfer, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Arthur S. Fredricksen's memory to Camp Ahwaga, P.O. Box 3, Owego, NY 13827.
