Granted all my memories were mostly in the funeral home other then when I would see him out and about he would always have a smile saying oh hi nice to see u outside of work and such and he would mention how if he saw me I was always with a different group of people. He was great at pin pointing a person from a crowd. He said to me once and it stuck, you must have millions of friends for us to keep meeting up like this and I said yes and no, everyone's connect in some shap or form and I just fit in the middle and I try my hardest to be supportive, was while I was supporting my niece up from her best friend like sister at the time and trying to hold my own tears in and he patted me on the other shoulder that didn't have a weeping child on and smiled and said have a better day, and that ment something even if it was just a small gesture of good will. To me it was like he was saying this place is to cry but when u leave strive for the day to get lighter because after he had walked away the tears did roll and after crying and leaving the building it really did seem like a different day. He definitely didn't just work or own the funeral home, he made it a home to say goodbye and have support while doing so. Been to some that is not that homesome feeling, he made sure he made everyone welcome.

Harold was a pillar of the community. He had a heart bigger than most, giving to Moose charities, to help needy families and especially children during the holidays. He donated to many causes and helped more than many knew about. In our time of loss Harold eased us through the process of grieving and in making the hard choices. He was kind and gentle, and understanding. Harold , fondly known as Digger, was a friend to everyone and no one enjoyed a good chat with him like my husband Terry. They could go on an on about many a diversified subject. He will be missed, truly. This past year we have seen him struggle and it saddened us. We praise God that his struggle is over. Rest in peace , Harold, it’ll we meet again.
